Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions we hear most. If you do not find what you need here, the rest of these docs cover each feature in detail.
What data sources can I connect?
A wide range. Upload files, connect relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, and managed providers like Supabase, Neon, PlanetScale, and Amazon Aurora), load from cloud storage (Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure, Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Sheets), or authorize advertising and e-commerce platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Instagram, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Amazon Ads, Shopify, Magento). See [Connecting Data](/docs/connecting-data) for the full list.
What file formats are supported for upload?
CSV, TSV, JSON, Excel, Parquet, and Arrow. For the best results, include a clear header row and keep your data tabular and consistently shaped.
Do I need to know SQL?
No. Kutta generates charts for you, and natural-language chat lets you ask questions in plain English. Kutta handles the querying behind the scenes.
How do I refresh my data?
Use Sync Data on the dashboard to re-fetch from the source and update every chart. A short cooldown applies between syncs. See [Sharing & Export](/docs/sharing-export).
Which chart types are available?
Line, area, scatter, 3D scatter, bar, and pie. Kutta recommends chart types your data supports, and you can build any of them manually. See [Building Charts](/docs/building-charts).
Can I share a dashboard?
Yes. You can capture a snapshot and share it to LinkedIn, X, Facebook, or Reddit, use your device's native share sheet, or download the image. You can also export a chart's underlying data.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Kutta offers a Free plan at $0 and a Pro plan. See the product page for current plan details.
